Wow, based on the emails and number of hits this first week I think people are happy with this site. I'm glad everyone is getting their "homework" done during the break. If you are not sure where to start check out the free courses on the related links section of quickdegree.info. This way you can get your feet wet without a monetary committment. It's also a good way to find out what online learning is about and how it works. Each school is different in the delivery and length of semester. Some colleges have condensed 6-8 week courses to allow a student to take more courses per year. Generally these require constant attention, they cram a full semester of study in to a shorter time. Help With Excelsior Exams

I went to Yahoo Groups the "Distance Education" area and noticed that the Excelsior Exams have many groups devoted to them. Some are strictly for nursing students but many are for any of the exams. I would suggest looking over some of the groups. Getting input from many sources may help your odds of success.

Adult Students

The government printing office has a publication on the alternative ways to earn college credentials at this link. The Quick Degree Info site is far more comprehensive but this document does validate much of the information.

The site has been launched and it looks like it has gone well, no glitches (yet). When you start looking around www.quickdegree.info and get some ideas of what you'd like to do, consider enrolling in some of the free courses on the related links page. The site is scheduled to launch next week if all goes as expected. I hope this will be a resource to everyone that thinks earning a college degree while working is not attainable.
